Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is 32.5% solution of high-purity urea in de-mineralized water that is used with the Selective Catalytic Reduction system (SCR) to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from the exhaust systems of diesel vehicles in the USA. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a clear non-hazardous liquid.

DEF Storage

Polyethylene plastic tanks are the perfect choice when you need DEF tanks for bulk storage or for dispensing at a customer’s site. High Density Polyethylene is rated as an excellent storage material for DEF and urea. You may need an opaque tank to block the UV rays from the sun if this is for long term outdoor storage.
